Trekking

Here in NZ it's called trekking on a track. You know it as hiking on a trail. We’ve done a lot of trekking these past few days and we couldn’t be happier! Most tracks are steep and narrow. This one led to a beautiful 360 view of Lake Wānaka and the town of Wanaka.

This one was a true gem; a hidden short walk with 3 river crossings through ice cold glacier water that froze your feet, ankles and calves within seconds. But the end result was worth every step. No signs on the road meant we were the only ones there!

As we made our way along the West Coast of NZ we made multiple stops to take short treks to see some beautiful waterfalls.

Oh yeah…and we watched a tree give birth to a live grown man!

Of course after all that trekking we needed to nourish our bodies with tacos!
